Engagement photos are usually taken anywhere from one year to a few months before your wedding day.  An engagement sessions provides you the opportunity to get to know your photographer. Your photographer will also get to know you and find which poses work best for you, as well as learn what you like and dislike. In this way, the engagement session is a warm-up for your wedding day without your family and guests!
